Mia has a magical compact mirror that would change her into a magical girl.   

Her friend, Eva, needed to borrow a mirror, so Mia gave her one... but she gave her the wrong spare. Due to Eva's heart not being the purest form to become a magical girl herself, Eva turns into a Kaiju and rampages around the city. 

Mia has to take her friend down with the power of friendship and love ( hearts /rainbows ) to turn their best friend back into a normal girl .
